On March 30, a new constitution was voted in by clubs at the SGM. The region is shifting to a new governance structure which involves the establishment of three Rohe or zones across Te Waipounamu within which clubs reside and a Board of Directors.

Due to the impending arrival of Cyclone Vaianu this weekend, Manukau Outrigger Canoe Club have made the early call to cancel the first race in this series to ensure taitamariki and whānau remain safe at home. Next race is on May 17th.
