Waka Ama - More Than Sport
Waka ama is an inclusive and accessible kaupapa enjoyed by thousands throughout Aotearoa, inclusive of paddlers, coaches, volunteers, and supporters of all ages, abilities, backgrounds, and skill level.
Our intergenerational sport has participants ranging from tamariki (children) and rangatahi (youth) to pakeke (adults) and kaumātua (elders) with participation and competition opportunities at school, club, regional, national, and international levels.

From short-form videos, paddler profiles and inspirational whānau stories to interactive challenges, wellbeing initiatives and event highlights, campaigns can be tailored to your organisation’s kaupapa and objectives.

Partner with Waka Ama Aotearoa NZ to support the overall wellbeing of paddlers, rangatahi and whānau through our hauora initiatives. Come be part of our Hauora Hub at the largest waka ama event in the country where on-site health and wellbeing hubs are front and centre. Offering free health checks, active recovery and injury prevention activities. Spaces also include whānau hangouts, including online campaigns promoting healthy lifestyles and positive wellbeing on and off the water.
