Te Kauika Ō Patuharakeke Waka Ama Club is hosting a long-distance waka ama event from Te Koutu Beach, Marsden Point, Whangarei Harbour on the 29th August 2026. The event aims to provide a quality racing opportunity for paddlers across Te Tai Tokerau and beyond, with 8km and 16km race options.
