I te rā nei, we get to learn a little about Greg "Aussie" Jones. As his name describes he grew up in Australia but has been paddling in Aotearoa since 2003. Greg will be representing Aotearoa in the Master 50 V1 Men’s division. Another very competitive division which will see him take on paddlers from the likes of Tahiti, Niue, Singapore, Hawaii, Australia, Italy, Canada and Brazil to name a few!!! We would like to wish Greg all the best for his build up over the next few months before he returns to Australia ready to battle it out on the water - this time in black!!!

Our next profile takes a look at one of our most exciting up and coming paddlers - Kacey Ngataki. Kacey will represent Aotearoa in the Junior 19 Men V1 Division – an extremely competitive division, but without a doubt…Kacey is the man for the job! With a silver medal at the 2019 Sprint Nationals, 1st place at the Aotearoa Aito and crossing the line first at the 2019 LDNS to secure his position as the J19 Men V1 representative for Aotearoa - Kacey has had an outstanding few months! Our next profile takes a look at another one of our wahine toa heading to Mooloolaba this coming August. Liz Tane will represent Aotearoa in the Master 60 Women V1 Division, Liz is also a member of the Master 60s V6 Womens team. With a 2018 World Sprints V1 medal to her name, Liz will be a strong contender at the World Distance Champs. We wish Liz and her team all the best as they prepare over the next few months!

The Manukau Midget/Intermediate Ramp Series Race 3 scheduled for this Sunday has been moved to the following Sunday 19th May. The safety of our Tamariki is paramount therefore due to weather forecast for Sunday this event has been postponed. Entries will remain open for those clubs that cannot make the new date and need to remove their entries.
