We have received a number of queries regarding WT12 combined crews and in particular how to enter them. The race rules allow clubs to form combined teams across all divisions if they do not have enough paddlers to form a team within their own club first.

The Te Puku o Te Ika Regional held their regional regatta at Lake Tikitapu in Rotorua on Saturday 01 December and Sunday 02 December with good numbers turning out for the 2-day event.

This year Nga Hoe Horo O Pawarenga Outrigger Canoe Club celebrates its 25th Anniversary, an anniversary it shares with Nga Kaihoe o Aotearoa which was also formed in 1987. From humble beginnings our sport has grown from 3 clubs to 85 clubs throughout Aotearoa. The following is a history of the Nga Hoe Horo Club which has been so instrumental in the growth, history and development of Waka Ama in Aotearoa

New timeframes, and parents please wake your babies up early to make use of the early morning calm waters. Check the Race Schedule and remember no sharing of waka within the same category and allow for more than 3 races if sharing a waka. First race of the day will be the SMM followed by the SMW. My car was stolen and has since been recovered, however missing from the car were 3 TAI DESIGN paddles. The steering paddle is quite well used but the 2 paddles were used for the first time in September, and still in perfect/new condition.
