Mother, life partner, grandmother, aunty, sister. Mama too many, coach of coaches, a supporter of great movements, #1 fan of HER people.
Anna has been a part of Ngā Hoe Horo since its inception. She has paddled with and coached many kaihoe and administrators over the years who have learnt from her example and continue to develop others today. Anna had a way of making every person feel important and that they might just be her favourite person in the world.
She taught with love and directness. She prepared youth for the world by teaching them commitment, problem-solving skills and working together to achieve goals.
We are privileged to have had someone with her depth of knowledge and networks quietly navigating our club through many a storm. We’re grateful to every member of her family for sharing her with us right to the end.
Ka nui te aroha Kia tātou katoa.
