The Waka Ama Sprint Nationals is unique! A fun week of competitive racing, hanging out with whanau and catching up with your paddling family from around the country. From the first nationals in 1990 when there were 14 clubs we have grown to now include 54 clubs at this years event!
Over those 25 years we have seen paddles get smaller, waka get lighter, paddlers get fitter, teams get faster, turns get sharper, races get shorter and the crowd get bigger!

We are keen to put on display any memorabilia that you may have at home from previous sprint nationals.

Who has a T-Shirt from the 1990 Nationals? or one from 1995? or one from Parua Bay in 1997/98
Does anyone have an old paddle that they used in the 90's....the kind where the blade almost comes up to your thigh!
how about an old club uniform....there were some pretty flash fluro outfits back in the early ninties and they are all back in fashion now...so no harm in breaking them out of the bottom drawer.
It may even be that you have some photos you can share with us online.

If you have some cool items that you would be happy to loan us for the week, we will put it in our display for everyone to enjoy and then return it to you at the end of the week.
