Time to "Toe the line"

What a great week of racing at the Nat's. Awesome to see the country come out in force and hats off to all the volunteers that worked so hard for us all.

But no time to rest, The summer is still here and the calendar is full. There is something for all, so challenge yourself and push to the next level.

To kick things off there is a descent amount of OC1 events. All designed to work you hard and lift your paddling so you are ready for the sixman season. So get on board and I hope to see you in Auckland this weekend at the first of the Hoe Toa ocean series.

And make sure you pencil all of these into your race calendar.

26-Jan-2009

I'll be there - Hey Mr No Show (Anon Paddler), We need to get to these events to help build them into awesome races, so that then sponsors will jump on board, as there will be value in them being associated with them and then you can have your "show me the money". But you can't have the cake straight away. You got to give a little first.
Kingi, Troy, Paul, Conan etc aren't putting these races on to make coin. They want to lift the level of paddling in our country. So, presumed that getting some great events run would get you off your butt to race. Obviously the couch is easier. But great events need paddlers. That's what makes them great. To have 50, 100 plus on the line.
So might see you at the next one. Where I think there is some money for you.

27-Jan-2009

29-Jan-2009

Anon - More paddlers at races in Auckland. Please. As he said. Get the level of paddling up.
