Nga Kaihoe o Aotearoa (Waka Ama New Zealand )Inc. is 3 years into our current Strategic Plan. That plan finishes at the end of 2015 and we are presently working through the process of drafting our next strategic plan that will see us through to 2020. 

We have come a very long way since our 25 year Strategic Vision was developed in 2009. With so many milestones being achieved along the way, we should all be very proud..Our current plan and the one previous to that have been very successful, with the bulk of outcomes having been achieved in both. There is, however, much to do to achieve all aspects of our Vision statement.

The Board and the office of Waka Ama New Zealand have developed the first draft of the 2016 to 2020 Strategic plan (attached) and we would like to get our memberships' feedback and input at these early stages of its development,

We are looking at ways to streamline the plan, and as we work through this consultation process with our membership we will, through feedback, further develop and enhance our plan so that it maximises the potential of Waka Ama New Zealand over the coming four years. 

The Board of Waka Ama New Zealand will consider all feedback received and and will prepare a second and final draft that will be sent out to the membership in November 2015. The strategic plan will then be formally adopted at the AGM in January at Lake Karapiro.
