POOR KNIGHTS CROSSING IMPORTANT UPDATE

Please read attached for weather conditions and registration information.

Currently the weather prediction for Saturday at Tutukaka is for Nor east winds approaching 50 (Fifty) knots steady gusting stronger and seas from nor east  4 to 6 metres


No.  We will not be sailing to the Poor Knights or paddling in those conditions.


However, the weather front is moving rapidly eastward once it hits late Thursday and Friday.  


At this stage, we will continue as planned with the registration and load up on Friday afternoon/evening.  Briefing will still be at Oceans Hotel at around 1930hrs on Friday evening.


But, Sunday is now being considered as race day.  We will make a final call on this as late as possible, but we need to be mindful that most paddlers will want to know what's going on as early as possible. So final call on race day will be made  at around noon Thursday.


At this stage Sunday will be nor east seas around 4 metres, wind east not east 10 to 15 knots....which would be awesome.
