It was a great day for everyone invovled and wonderful to see so many students with smiling faces all day long.
The racing was close and the standard of paddling gets better and better every year.
A big thank you once again to all the clubs who provided Waka, equipment, coaches, volunteers and time. The success of our Secondary School Waka Ama regattas relies on a close partnership between schools and clubs.
If anyone has any photos that they took on the day, I would really appreciate it if you could send me some as I didnt get a chance to take any myself on Saturday.
Also if schools are contemplating entering the New Zealand Secondary School Waka Ama Championships, the entries close this Wednsedsay 10th March at midnight. You can find all the info you need here
The Auckland secondary School Junior regatta is scheduled for Saturday 13th November at Orakei Basin.
