Dear members of the NKOA committee and the WMC

I would like to take this opportunity to personally thank you the committee members, and each and every member of the contingent that represented Aotearoa New Zealand at the World Sprint Championships in Sacramento.

Thank you for the sacrifices you made to come here, for your participation in the events, and thank you for being the people that you are. Your contributions added greatly to the experience of those of us who live in this area.

Certainly Sacramento is not the exotic location some would hope for, but the competitors made the best of it without complaint, with good attitude, and good sportsmanship. Of particular note was the program presented during the Cultural Evening; it did more to promote tourism and an appreciation for you culture than could any travel brochure or television advertisement. You are truly goodwill ambassadors for your country.
